Class details
The 10 hour program is intended to provide a variety of training on construction safety and health to entry level workers. This course is designed to be presented to workers; therefore the class emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, Not OSHA Standards. This is a prerequisite for the OSHA 30 hour construction. Upon successful course completion, the student will receive an OSHA General Construction Safety and Health 10-hour course completion card.

Topics include scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. This is a prerequisite for the OSHA 30 hour General Industry. Upon successful course completion, the student will receive an OSHA General Industry Safety and Health 10-hour course completion card.

This course for private sector personnel covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as general Construction safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA general Constuction standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. OSHA’s 29 CFR 1926 General Construction Safety Standard Book will be provided. Upon successful course completion, the student will receive an OSHA General Construction Safety and Health 30-hour course completion card.
